Astaxanthin is a natural carotenoid, or pigment, produced under specific conditions by the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. Its antioxidant capacity is 6,000 times stronger than that of vitamin C, 790 times stronger than that of CoQ10, and 110 times stronger than that of vitamin E.
